Exporting PPro CS6 sequences through AME, in multiple sets of preset export settings. All in h.264 at various resolutions and bitrates. All of the sequences default to encoding the entire sequence, and yet on export all of the videos have a black video tail of 10-20seconds. The work area was and remains set to precisely the end of the footage in the sequence, and there are no tailing clips.

In other words, I can’t find where this tail is coming from. Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you sure that there is nothing after the work area. Or have you checked the box that asks to export the work area only.

AME will not add blank space video to the end of your sequence.

You bet. The sequence is clean as a whistle, and the work area is set precisely. I’ll be running it again, but it’s a 5-hour export.

Don’t bother exporting the entire sequence, set your work area to just the tail 30 seconds and export that to see if it is the tail or something else in the file that is causing problems.

You are troubleshooting which means you need to isolate variables until you find out exactly what is causing the problem so you can fix it.

Encoding the whole sequence again hoping that it will turn out differently would be defined by some as insanity. Especially if it is going to set you back 5 hours

    good luck.
