Black titles over White BG
Posted by Bill Reilly on October 19, 2006 at 4:29 amHi, Im kinda new to fcp. Today my client asked me to make a simple black title over a white BG. I opened the title tool and just could not come up with how to change the BG from black to white. Any help would be appreciated

October 19, 2006 at 4:37 amThere is no background in the title tool. You would place the background of your choice into the timeline. Create a matte or custom gradient and put it on a layer below your title.

days when black was 16 and white was 235 it was easy (we made white about 226). Even now
with digital blaqck at 0 I think it still looks best to keep whites down to 230 or less.

October 19, 2006 at 3:32 pmuse the matte feature under video generators, then turn the color white. I’m sure someone else has said this.
