  • black side bars on 1080p footage

    Guys,

I’m building a Blu-Ray project. After importing a 1080p 422HQ footage into EN as an asset, the footage appears to have black bars on each side. See attached. All of the settings is 1080p 16:9. I’m on a Mac Pro 2008(3.1, 10.6.8, CS4).

    Any advice? Thanks.

    I read your other post.
Unless you have confirmed the “black lines” by actually burning a disk which shows them, then I would wonder if this isn’t just an artifact of the reviewer in Encore.

Have you actually burned a disk (just a small project with the menu you mentioned)?

It turns out that the black bars only appear in En. They’re not on the actual Blu-ray disc. I made a test Blu-ray disc with a Verbatim BD rewritable. The footage displays edge to edge beautifully on my 50″ plasma TV. I’m happy:) So I guess it’s just a bug I can ignore in En as long as the final product is good. Thanks for all the help!
