Black screens on viewer, canvas, broadcast etc…
Wanted to try out premier pro cs5.5 on my mac as haven’t used it for eons. I imported an xml from fcp which came through fine- except the seq settings seemed to think it was xdcam rather than prores4444 but whatever. I looked in the settings and I couldn’t see how to view it on my external via my BM card. So I created a new seq with BM settings and copy and pasted. There is now nothing but a black screen on my canvas and my broadcast monitor. I have also tried importing footage straight into Prem and still same problem. if i create a custom sequence with prores 4444 as the codec it displays on canvas and source but still nothing on broadcast.
obviously I am doing something wrong but both my avid brain and fcp brain cant help. can you lot?
