Black Screen – in certain parts
hey guys so im making a pvp Movie for wow – now i took all my footage and rendered it using Sony vegas (to save file space)- i watched the .avi in media player – works perfect – now when i reinsert it into Sony vegas – to add effect and such – i watch the Preview Video and in certain spots the whole screen turns Black. but when i watch it outside Sony Vegas – these Black screens randomly throughout the movie do not exist – Help
PS – i noticed the preview is very jerky also – like it freezes up for a few seconds then jerks forward then slows again – what is up

hey yeah this is the old Bloodz yes – a little shocking heh .
It seems when i rendered the footage i put it into a divx video format – and vegas does not support this – so i have to convert it into something vegas does support – problem is it says it supports a .avi format – but this movie is already in a .avi format – so what am i converting>? i just done understand -
Dude!!!! I’ve been like trying to find you lol. This is Underground =D. I may go back to WoW so I’ve been trying to find out where all my good WoW friends are these days lol. I like sent you a myspace & facebook request tryign to get a hold of you, then found you on this too lol. But hey, if you have a vent we can talk on or some kind of IM to see what’s up and actually I may be able to help you with whatever Vegas problem you’re having since I use it a lot too. Peace

So im trying to make a wow pvp video. I rendered all my footage together into a .avi file with the render setttings of Divx 6.8 codec (the video format). Now when i try and reinsert it into Sony Vegas it doesnt work properly – basically i get a black screen a few times here and there in the video.
I have contacted Sony support and they say they do not support Divx – so the question is – i know i have to convert SOME PART of my .avi to make it compatible with Sony Vegas – but i dont know what to convert and what to use and how to do it .
There have been many posts from people with this same problem but after looking over dozens and dozens for 2 months now, i find that no one has ever truely given me a really clear example of how to fix this .PLZ HELP
