black preview window?
Posted by Brandi Ridley on September 5, 2011 at 12:28 amwhen i import my movie file it plays but in the preview window it doesn’t it’s just a black screen, i can hear the audio fine but i cannot see the preview video? anyone know how to fix this?

September 5, 2011 at 6:11 amEnsure you have your Level in the Track Header at 100% and that your Event on the Timeline is at 100% too.
Can you see the Frames on the Timeline?

It’s an MP4 file and needs a newer version of QuickTime than Pro 8 supports.
Some users on here have, as I recall, used VLC Media Player to convert it to another format that Pro 8 can read.
You’d have to do a search though as I can’t remember who it was or when they posted.
