Black Magic UltraStudio and tape Varicam flags
Just wondering if the Ultrastudio records the flags that allow off-speed material to be detected? So if I bought in material from a Varicam tape into Final Cut it could go through the FRC and be played as slow motion etc.?
I believe the AJA products do this (like IO Express) but they cost a lot more.
Really just looking for a way to shoot on tape, then playback whole tape and dump it to hard drive ready to edit or hand to someone who has no deck to play the tape.
