Black Magic Intensity
Hey All,
Considering looking into the BM Intensity card, any thoughts on using it in Vegas? What format does it capture in? Are you able to monitor in real time VS 3 sec delay (I know that is my FX1 causing the delay, just wanted to make sure this would not as well). How large are the files that are imported? Thanks for the help!

I have the Shuttle. It doesn’t give me the option to capture as MJPEG in Vegas, but I just use Media Magic that came with it. The best feature is it will capture straight from the imager without a tape and the 4.1.1 DV color space and without the mpeg compression 4.2.0. with HDV. This give me a better quality video as Motion JPEG that I can just import into Vegas. Checkout the Blackmagic forum here at the Cow. Search for Danny Hays and see all my posts on it. Other than being USB 3 and a couple capture setting that don’t work until the USB bandwidth gets bigger, their the same, same software. I really like it. It does let me preview full screen as a second monitor via HDMI from Vegas Pro 9.
