Yes the “Desktop Video 9.2 Beta 1 for Macintosh” is out for download but not working. Fcpx just shows
one possibility “Blackmagic 720×486 @29.97″ Thats all there is. I am working in Pro res 422 1080i or XDCAM HD 1080i. Have BMD Intensity Pro.

You have to set the video output in the System Preferences before you run FCPX.

Do you mean the System preferences under the apple? Yes there is a Blackmagic Ikon that open up a menu with 2 video out options. “HDMI & Component” or” HDMI & Composite”. Sorry but cant see any difference that will make. Still no possibility to choose the resolution I want to use in FCPX.

How did you get this control panel to come up? I’ve installed the beta and get the same version as 9.2, with out the option to change default size.

    Thanks

I haven’t yet had a chance to try this but I wonder if you might need to UNINSTALL and then install the new stuff. I will try that shortly.

Uninstalling and re-installing doesn’t change anything. The screenshot with output choice was clearly from a newer/higher-end output card with SDI etc.

So is NTSC SD at 30fps all that Intensity Pro users are going to get?

Thanks Lance let me know if it works for you. I’ve uninstalled, trashed reinstalled, no go.

Here is the answer for now if you own an Intensity card-
The BlackMagic guy I spoke with on the phone said that Intensity Pro is not supported as part of this initial beta release.

He did not know if the Intensity line would even be included with the final release as it may not be high on their radar.

I find that hard to believe given the amount of these cards out in circulation. You never know – I’ll keep checking for any updates.

    Sorry guys….
