When i use the ground cracks from (Action Essentials 2 720p) black egdes can be seen around the picture.

    Step 1.
I have a video track with some ground on. (source Alpha)
then I make another video track and drags a picture of a crack on it, puts the track in overlay mode and goes to track motion and scales the crack down, and now black edges appear?
    Am I doing something wrong??
Or it it only possible to use the cracks in their original size?

I really dont know, have made the projekt from scratch again, And i actully first saw the lines around the picture today(havent had the time before today), when i went the projekt through in best resolution, they dont really show in preview mode.
So I dont think I’ve really got the problem solved in the previus thread. It just appeared so a fist look.

So once again thanks for all the previus help, but I really need a little more.

What ever info is needed, just say so and iI will post it.

First your project properties are wrong. You are working with an interlaced project so you MUST select a deinterlace method other than “None”. I recommend “Blend Fields”.

Second, did you use the Levels plug-in to adjust the gray on the media like I instructed you to do in the other thread? That should remove the black line.

Finally, if you are using Pan/Crop, try moving it to the end of the FX chain like I instructed you to do in the other thread.

    Hey John

Changed my properties and tried the levels(Tried both all channels and Alpha in levels) , but the problem is that the overlay is perfekt so when I use levels it only changes the overall colour, and I only need to change the edges.

Im not using pan/chrop but track motion like you told me.

Is there any way to get my video and the picture of the crack to you, so you see exacly what i see?

I have the screen capture from your other post and I can see the black lines if I use Best (Full) mode just like you do, but when I switch to Good (Full) they go away. This could be a bug in Vegas or it could have something to do with the different scaling that Best does which Good doesn’t. Try viewing in Good (Full) mode and see if they go away. if they do, then render in Good mode.

I see the same thing with the Preview modes:
