I have a material with a video on a plane. For some reason, there’s a black border around the video, any way i can adjust the size of the video? I know something about setting it to “flat” and then adjusting…but when i set it to anything but cube it’s warped and doesn’t size correctly. Anyone have a solution?

Try UVM Mapping / uncheck Tile / select the Texture Tool ( you’ll see a yellow grid) /
select the Scale Tool and drag in the viewport / select the Move Tool for positioning…

Left hand Tool-bar (mouse over the tools and watch the text at the bottom-left of the Cinema 4D window: = (Use Texture Tool)…
Or go to the Top-Toolbar / Tools / Texture

    Cheers

Ironically I was recently helping someone put a frame around a texture, but this video tut should give you what you need:
