  • Black border around text?

Posted by Kenneth Sutton on June 22, 2012 at 7:15 pm

I’m putting some text on the B-roll intro of a prison doc I’m doing and I am trying to find the option to put a black border around the white text, since with the light video backdrop it’s hard to see the text over it. I put drop shadow on it but of course it just darkens one side; I need a whole black border lining around the text. Where is the option to do this? Thanks.

Add Text > Outline Text instead of the regular text. You can adjust the border on it.

    Use the Boris 3D text.
Is much better than the default text generator.

Use the Shapes generator to put a rectangle under the text on the next track down. You can choose the colour and if you want, make it semi-transparent.
