black background??
okay, massive brain fart here. i can’t export a lower third “movie” from Motion that will show up in FCP without the solid black background. i’ve tried the lossless video + alpha as well as the QT DV NTSC movie. i have done this successfully in the recent past, but can’t recall what i did. yikes. i think it is early alzheimers!
anyone?

1. Make sure that your background color is set to 0% opacity (Project Properties: cmd-J)
2. Try importing the Motion project as a clip rather than exporting a movie from Motion to import into FCP.
