Im using MPEGStreamclip to convert some DVD files into DV files.
I import them into my timeline, and at first they scrub fine, very smoothly, with sound scrubbing on.

Then for some strange reason, after I leave them for a while and come back, they only scrub well with sound scrubbing off. For some reason, with the sound scrubbing on it scrubs terribly. Is this some sort of sound setting related issue? It just seems weird that they work, then dont, with absolutely no changes made.

Is the audio and video on the same drive. Almost sounds like an external drive went to sleep, as it was occuring after you left it for a while.

No my scratch is set to one external drive. But that did sound like a good guess, since it seems to be the audio only that is causing some sort of lag.
