Bizarre FX bug
I’m trying to add a blur effect to a clip and it blurs most of the clip except for a square area in the middle. I tried adding other effects and I get the same result. The effect does not occur in the middle of the clip. A square area is not affected. Any ideas on this? A reboot has no effect. I’m using Vegas 8. Thanks.

I’m betting that you have a FX Bypass still invoked. One of the options with this great function is that you can drag an area directly over the Preview Screen and create your own “mask”. OK, to get back to the way you want go to the Preview Screen Toolbar and select the:-
Split Screen View | Left Click on the Drop Down Menu Arrow | Select All and you will EITHER have the FX in play OR if not click on the FX By-pass Icon itself.
You should now have your FX working all over your Preview.
