> I had a problem with a DVD Architect error so I downloaded the Bitrate calculator and put in my settings (very simple, a 50 minute video with no menus, etc) and it came up with a CBR of 9800.
That’s the max bitrate limit of a DVD and I would not burn at that high a bit-rate. For compatibility with most DVD players I would drop it down to 9500Kbps.
> My question is that in the posts I am reading the bitrates are closer to the 9 millions, not 9,800. Am I doing something wrong?
That measurement is actually 9,800 Kbps which is kilobits per second (or 1,000 bits per second). So 9,800 * 1,000 = 9,800,000 or 9 million 8 hundred thousand bits per second. 😉
Now… having said that, Vegas actually wants this specified in bits so you would enter 9,800,000 into Vegas if that’s what you wanted.
