  • Bipassing Scene Detection When Capturing?

I tried to find an answer in search but could not and I’m REALLY new..

I recorded about 10 minutes worth of video with my FX1. When I captured it into Vegas Studio it broke into three seperate clips (I saw a thread that mentioned scene detection.)

    Two Questions:

    1) How can I capture in one long clip which is what I would like
    2) Does anyone know if this “scene detection” is based off a time code that is marked every time I hit the record/stop button or is there some specific lenght of time after the stop is hit that the software considers it a new clip??

    I appreciate the help!

In the HDV capture window go to: Prefs | General tab and clear the check next to: Enable HDV scene detection.

It’s based on timecode so every time you hit start/stop it makes a new clip.
