  • Big Project Render / Share Issue Won’t Go Away!

So I have a decent size project that I cannot get to share / render. I just continually get the “beach ball” and have to force quit.

    I have done the following…
    – Trashed Prefs
    – Deleted peaks and thumbnails

The 1080 project consists of about an hour of ProResHQ interviews on green screen. I have pre-comped that footage over their backgrounds sent that to have the client pull selects. Once I received those notes I pre-comped it again to trim it down based on the notes (this allowed me to use the time-code generator and keep everything consistent even with trims). I wouldn’t think that a couple layer of pre-comps would cause this issue.

My system is an iMac 5K, 32gb ram and 4gb GPU. My footage / projects are on a TB2 enclosure.

I really hope someone can help me with this as I have been working for hours just to try to get the final 35 minute piece exported and I MUST deliver this ASAP.

    – Try exporting in 5 minute chunks. See if you get any errors.

    – Snapshot the timeline and try breaking apart your compound clips, see if that will export.

    – Try exporting to a different drive, if you have the space.
