Big problems with dynamic link…
I’m working on a 30 minute project made out of 6 blocks. The way I use to do it in FCP was to make every block a sequence and then make a final sequence where I would place my block sequences. I’ve done probably 50 (or more) graphics in AE linked with dynamic link, I’m making a AE project per block each one with the name Block_01…02…03… etc, I was lazy (I admit it) and kept the name Comp01 …02 … 03 …etc that AE gives me by default, expecting that since every comp01 would have a different project, there would be no problem, and there shouldn’t, because they are directed to different AE projects. The thing is I’m getting MEDIA OFF LINE display in every dynamic linked AE project. What do you guys think it’s the problem. I’m also getting this problem when I shut down AE…. it’s bugging me out and I don’t want to render every single AE comp. That was my hole point for moving from FCP to Premiere. I was spending way to much time rendering graphics and importing and exporting.

Do dynamic link files only work if AE is open????
