    Hey there,

my client gave me several big AAF-Files to grade (I am not an Avid cutter but I think they are called consolidated AAFs). Basically they are a sequence containing all the media. Seems like I can’t import that into Resolve after several tries, don’t I? :-(((

    Please help,
    Chris

[Christoph Tilley] “Seems like I can’t import that into Resolve after several tries, “

Let’s review: You opened Resolve, created a “Default project”, went to “Conform”, pulled down File… selected Import… AAF,EDL, XML… and then…?

What sort of errors are you getting as you try to import? It sounds like the footage was exported with the media “embedded in the aaf”, and not placed into a folder, but can you get more info on how the aaf was prepared?
