  • BG multi proc renders using a wiggle or time expressions creates problems.

Setting up a large render that is using back ground render to expedite and spread out the processing power, however the project uses wiggles and time* expressions.

My result looks to yield a result that seems like each proc is rendering a unique value not based on the previous value. This gives me an undesired sporadic jumping value. Which is not apparent in the same exact Foreground render. Two diff renders using the same proj file. One is multi thread one is FG.

Is this a known issue? Will I need to bake out all these expression to do a multi proc render? Unfortunate as the expressions are being altered per version as we are still in the design phase. So baking them out for ever version and every render is disappointing?

I am curious if each instance would reference the previous frame’s expression value to determine/generate its own value. This would than generate a render that would look more like it was created by one Proc.

Any thoughts or tips or help to this conversation is much appreciated.
