BFX not passing effect to Vegas….
I’m having a frustrating day today.
I’m using Vegas 9.0c and BFX 9.3, downloaded two weeks ago & registered.
I’m trying to create a title segment for a program. It’s going to be 1:37 long. It has a PNG file as a background, that I pan across slowly. There are 10 QT titles consisting of white type over a transparent background, and 8 QT’s of the presenters appearing later in the video. Eventually, i was going to create a single BFX with all the elements, but I started having problems.
I start out by laying a 1:37 black slug onto a video track on my timeline. Then I add the Boris Effects video effect. I set the duration of BFX to be 1:37. I start putting in my layers with the moves i want.
When I play from the timeline in BorisFX, it looks fine. I click on APPLY.
In Vegas, the timing is off on some of the QT elements, while others just don’t show up at all.
I’m using Vegas 9.0c, QT 7.6.2.
Anyone have any ideas?

The first step in troubleshooting is to trash the BFX preference file.
Navigate to C:/ Windows and locate the Boris FX 9.3.ini file.
Trash this file and let us know if any of the issues are resolved.

Thanks for your help Matt. When rendering my output, I set the WMV render to 29.97, instead of its default of 30 fps. The timing on the effects has all fallen into place perfectly.
I really appreciate your help and all the time you put into helping this lunkhead (me) figure out what was going on.
