Bezier Masking Advice
I have been attempting to use bezier masking to fix little problems here and there: usually to correct a face, and item of clothing, or other object that had bad lighting on it. It’s a lot of work…a lot. But, I have had good results.
However, like I said, it’s a lot of work. It’s very, very difficult for me to get clean edges on masks – either the object’s edge will be constantly flickering, or it may end up having too sharp a contrast with the surroundings if I adjust the brightness or color. I’ve found little ways to get around these problems such as making as few changes as possible from frame to frame to reduce the edge flickering, and using a little feathering to reduce an edge’s sharp contrast.
But I still feel like it’s way more time-consuming than it should be. Especially moving objects. Are there any tips and tricks that help with this? I’m getting results but I suspect that I’m putting in way more hours than is needed.
Or, is bezier masking this time-consuming for everybody, and something to be avoided if at all possible?
