I’m a newbie at Cinema 4D and have the following question.

I work for a CBS station in Philly and I’m trying to replicate the look of the CBS “Campaign 08” logo.
Actually, I have the logo bulit successfully in Cinema 4D except for what seemed to be the easiest part… the woodcut/beveled look of the “08”. It’s a little tricky for a
    newcomer like me.

Does anyone have an idea how to approach this. I made an extrude nurb of the “08” then went on to
use a fillet cap on the paths.I tried convex, concave, linear etc., then I selected the “face” of the text and went to structure and selected bevel to no avail. I’m stuck.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi,
I have to admit that I don’t know the logo itself (mostly I watch german TV 🙂 but it seems you are on the right track.
    Basically you ave 2 choices:

    – Build up the shape with splines, use the Extrude NURBS object and use it’s Cap and Bevel options to size and shape the bevels or

    – Use the Extrude NURBS, but this time just with caps. Then convert the Extrude NURBS to a polygon object (press “C”), select the caps and the Extrude NURBS polygon objects and choose Connect from Functons menue. Now use Optimize from Functions menue to melt the duplicate points of the connected logo. Now you can finally select polygons or edges and use the Bevel command to manually add your bevels.

    Kind regards,
