  • Bevel an edge other than 90 degree angle?

Hi. I have been able to apply a bevel to caps for Extrude Objects or Loft NURBS objects, and at first they appear OK. But I have found them lacking when one cap is a different scale than the opposite cap—the bevel seems to not take into account the angle of the sides. In fact, it seems like a bevel ONLY works well when the edge is at a 90º angle. The bevel shape (assuming Convex) seems to be only a quarter-circle, and nothing else. Is there a control or option that I am missing?

In other words, how do I round an edge whose adjoining faces are at other than a right angle?

    Thanks for any help!

    Mike

the built-in fillet for Extrude and Loft both assume 90°, yes. To get what you want I think you’d have to make the object editable/current state to object then connect the resulting object and caps then optimize and run a Bevel on the edges you want.
