    Hi!

    I have been reading a bit about using deinterlacing to get a better slowmo… But now i understand that if i deinterlace for example some 60i footage, all I get is something close to 30p, and then i might just aswell shoot in 30p, right? I found this method on how to go from 60i to 60p, but it’s just to much work for me with the type of videos I’m makin: https://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2009/02/09/butter-smooth-slow-motion/

    Is there another way to go from 60i to 60p in sony vegas?

    Thanks;
    Anders

    If you change the velocity of a clip in Vegas to 50% you get exactly what you need. The end.

    Specifically: toss a 29.97fps 60i clip into a 29.97fps 60i project, right click the clip > Properties and change the Playback rate to 0.500. Now change the Preview window to Best (Full) to make sure you are seeing your actual output frames and hop through the project frame-by-frame. You should see a change in every single frame, confirming that you are now getting 60fps. Sweet.
