Bet you thought you’d got rid of me
Sorry guys, back again.
When importing an AVI or mpeg, i suddenly have no audio.
it works fine on my laptop but not on FCP, why? dammit! why?I used to spend my time wondering, now it’s all used up rendering.

Not codecs FCP likes, these should be converted with Compressor before bringing them in. AVI is just a wrapper like QT so it can be a lot of different codecs on them.

Use MPEG STREAMCLIP to convert. Free, and does a great job.
