Best Zoom and Focus Control unit for Canon XL H1?
Anyone have any experience and or suggestions as to the best focus and zoom control unit for the Canon XL H1? We’ll be using three in a live event situation from a distance of 50 feet. I just spoke with Varizoom and they say their prosumer models that have an auto focus button on the unit do not work with the autofocus feature of the XL H1 lens. They do have a pro-line, but we will be working with volunteers with little experience from time to time and an autofocus feature seems like a positive function to have.

I don’t think you will find one – its a mechanical switch. I never found one that worked on the SD XL’s and the XLH1 goes one step further – it requires that you push a button in and then slide it towards you.
