Best workflow for syncing audio in premiere pro?
I have recently switched to Premiere Pro CC after years of using FCP 7 as my primary editing software. Typically when starting a project in FCP 7 I would sync media in the timeline then link and subclip the linked media which is what I would then use to edit with. With this workflow I retained my original media for reference as well as having a sync’d subclip that I used for cutting. In premiere it seems like this is not the logical workflow. I can sync the clips up amazingly fast and efficiently with the synchronize function but what is the best way to create a sync’d clip with all the functionality of the master clip?
This is the only aspect of Premiere I can’t pin down, everything else is quite intuitive and makes a lot of sense. I just want to make sure I have a workflow that won’t backfire on me during a large project. Also in general I would love to get some tips on a tested assistant editorial workflow for sync/log in Premiere for the reassurance that I’m handling footage correctly.
