Best way to view files?
I have been using the program monitor to view my files but find that when I export files to encore that I have widescreen or other issues etc that I didn’t notice in the programme monitor.Is it possible to view your timeline sequence in program monitor with a definitive setting(albeit small)as it will be on a tv etc and see the errors I have made before putting to DVD?

Short an simple: no.
Make sure Encore interpretes the footage correct. Rightclick on the clip in the project window.
Make a folder or image and burn the first time on a rewriteble, so avoiding several placemates. -
Really? This is hard to believe.Surely it’s not just me that has a problem with this.

What kind of errors would you like to have seen in the program monitor?
Encore has a ‘check project’ function. -
You can certainely purchase a card (Intensity Pro) or firewire D/A ADVC 100+ to preview DV in realtime on your TV.
But if you are having issues with pixel aspect ratios, or screen aspect ratios, I think you just need to look at all your project settings very carefully, and make you undertand every single one of them. The Premiere help file isn’t always the best answer, but we can certainely answer those here too. It took me many years to get things right.
Also make sure that your preview window is set to fit, so that you see all the footage there.

The errors I have seen are just a couple of clips that appear to be wider than the rest.These don’t show up that way in the panel

Not sure I understand; if they are wider, how can you tell, since they would be off frame?
Do you mean that you are seeing black bars at top and bottom, or that the entire export is wider?

There’s only a few tracks that are wider than the rest but they are edits within an interview.
I am only seeing this when I look at it on tv
