Best way to upgrade 2.6.6
Hi guys,
Continued issues with this old system – I have the relevant dongle but it won’t let me install it on a laptop and function correctly.
Next idea is to upgrade the 2.6.6 to 2.8.1 or higher and upgrade the dongle too. I don’t need to go above AMC 3.0 – can anyone recommend how I should go about upgrading the 2.6.6 version (which I have working on a dell tower at the moment).

I don’t think Avid will sell you an upgrade to an old version of the SW.

Oops, sent too soon.
I think, however, that if you upgrade your dongle to any current version, it will allow you to run any older version. So if you upgrade your dongle to 5.x, you can run any 2.x, 3.x, 4.x version (which you can download from the Avid website).
