best way to trash preferences?
I know this topic is frequently visited and must be getting old, but my time has come where I need to trash my preferences and quite frankly, I fear the worst. What’s the latest greatest advice on how to do this correctly. A step by step would be great if anyone has the time and patience to guide me through this. I also hear that there are free software programs that automate this process for you? Any ideas? thanks…

fcprescue automates the task and is well worth the cost, which BTW is zero dollars. It would be worth buying if it weren’t free.

where might I purchase fcprescue? There’s many references to it, but I’m a bit unclair on who makes it and where to get it. thanks
