Best way to set up my Firestore
I am using a Firestore 100 to record video out of a Panasonic 100 and then importing it into avid media composer. Which set up is the best to use in the Firestore to get the best quality video recorded and ease of ingest into Avid media composer?

Make sure your camera is spitting out the same format as you expect your Firestore to record – i.e. – If the Firestore keeps flipping back to an unexpected resolution, make sure your camera is set to, say, DVCPro50.
Make sure your drop / non-drop match between camera and Firestore.
If you want to control the Firestore with your camera, make sure the control in the Firestore is set to tapeless in two places – don’t remember where in the menu settings, though… The camera needs to be set to external control. In a HVX170 it’s under Other>control. Don’t know where it is in the 100.
Make sure you’re set to record P2 in the Firestore.
That’s all I can think of right now…
