  • Best way to Render 1080p60?

    Hello

I am using SVP11 and it appears my only option if I want to render 1080p60 is Sony AVCHD and customize the template to progressive and 59.94 fps at a max of 26mbps.

All this is fine but I really would prefer a 2 pass option if there is one? or is there another option that would offer better quality. I am seeing minor issues with the AVC render.

I tried mxf but it only allows 720p @ 60fps

Is there a 1080p60 4:2:2 codec that I could install?

    Thanks

Can’t help you with the 100p60 question, but I seem to recall that 1080p60 is not in the AVC spec.

As far as the codec, you can’t get any more data from your source media colorspace. AVCHD is 4:2:0, so using a codec with a higher colorspace spec gains you nothing.

Oh, and a nitpick of mine – you don’t render AVC, you encode it – notwithstanding Sony’s putting the encoding processes in the Render As menu.
