    I’m making a pretty screencast in AE. I’ve captured some screenshots and pan around them, but I’d like to add my voice to the project as I go. I know AE isn’t a good program for this, but it’s just a draft, once I get the screenshots panning correctly, I’ll do a real voiceover with something else and clean it up.

    AE doesn’t capture audio or video…I’m not sure what you’re asking.
    Get a microphone and plug it into your computer. If it’s a Mac or a PC there will be simple recording software that comes with it. You can use that while you play back your stuff. Or you can turn a video camera on and talk near its microphone.

    Thanks. Yeah, I suppose I was asking if AE had some little audio recorder built-in.
