I am just getting started with Cinema 4d…so I just want to know what’s the best way to learn this program? Are most of you guys self taught, learn from school, or a class? I’ve been doing the tutorials, I have the 9.5 version, but I have Cinema 4D 9.1 Handbook, will that be enough? I’m thinking about getting the Cinema 4d Real World 3D Animation Production book. Looks good.

I would guess that most users are self taught. Honestly I think the best way to learn the program is to read the manual.

    Try these

Lynda.com do a very good basic set of video tutorials.
    3dfluff.com sell excellent tutorial DVDs.
c4dcafe.com is a fantastic site with many brilliant tutorials.
    3dattack.net does an excellent magazine.

I agree. Read the manual, with cinema open on your computer, and try out all the things you read about in the manual. Also, read the Cinema forums. I’ve learned a lot from the forums by just reading others’ posts, as well as asking questions.

Ok, thanks. But has anyone tried the Real World 3D Animation book? Thanks.
