Yeah, but an art film with crushed blacks should only be a gamma change. NOT blacks below 7.5 ire, as that would sorta defeat the purpose. Someone in the know would set up their gear correctly and you’d lose the fake crushed blacks effect. They’d be better off just clipping them off at 7.5 since you wouldn’t see any difference in the blacks below 7.5 anyway, and nobody would set their gear up wrong. I’m thinking dub houses, projectionists, etc.
