    Team,

Team if i want to get streaming video online what is the difference between streaming as a progressive quicktime file and or streaming it online as a flash file? Which is better? I used to think that flash looked better…but I think I just thought that because someone told me so..I just came back from the apple website and they have streaming quicktime movies on there site that are as long as 3 minutes that look great. So which is it?

    Charles,

Its not so much which looks better anymore, as the new Flash and QT for the web, such as Sorenson 3 and H264 all look dandy. The real question you must ask is, who is capable of looking at this stuff??? The latest version of Flash, Flash 8, requires the new Flash 8 player, which not a lot of people have yet. QT H264 is not viewable on the PC side by a lot of folks. So, what does that leave??? Sorenson 3 QT is probably the best bet now as the files are managable in size and also look very good.
