Hi – i am creating a slide show mixed with video and still images. The problem i have is i have to use the crop tool for every still in order to make sure there are no top or side borders showing. I know i can copy the event attributes and paste them but if the still are different sizes then it doesn’t always work out. Just wondering what other people do – do they use another editing tool prior to bringing the stills into Vegas to get it to the right size? I tried using Photoshop but couldn’t figure out how to get the right aspect ration…any help appreciated

Ultimate S Pro can make that a snap. It is an extension for Vegas and has a free 15 day trial from Vasst.com. I think that Excalibur from Jetdv (Edward Troxel) can do this as well but I don’t have a copy of that particular extension for Vegas.

Since you were wondering what other people do (me), here is what I do: With Ultimate S you simply point the extension (under the photo montage tab) to the folder where your pictures are and tell it what you want it to do with the pictures (pan? If so, how much and what direction. zoom? If so, how much and in or out?) There are a bunch more options as well.
