I’m looking for the best way to handle a problem. I bought an After Effects template for a client Christmas card which consists of a project file completely built in AE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfIuiSGRWWE). I placed all the photos without a problem, but I’d like to have the ability to make global color adjustments to the composition WITHOUT affecting the photos.
My question: what is the best way to create a pass so I can mask out the photos to use as an alpha mask layer? The only way I can think of is to render a pass where I turn off all lights and assign a luminous white material in place of all the photos. Is there a better way? Thanks!
