I’m trying to create a moving grid overlay in a military piece that I’m working on with lots of moving pieces, coordinates, lines, etc. But I’m having a time with the grid. We have Sapphire, and it has a perfect grid. However, we just purchased Sapphire about a week ago and I’m still learning it. I fiddled with it today, but couldn’t figure out how to keyframe it to re-size and move the grid over the video and I’m under a time crunch here. Any ideas on how to do that with Sapphire or where I might just find a grid with transparency in Photoshop format or the best way to create one?

I know this is probably a simple task, but I was really stumped this afternoon and finally had to just walk away I got so frustrated. Additionally, any insight on the best way to “type on” text in a title? As always, thanks much!

I use After Effects for things like that – it’s got a pretty cool way of creating and controlling grids…

you can also draw your grid wth the line tool in photoshop (or evn title tool) then use the DVE to scale it and repositio it. Unless you rotate it, you won’t have alias issues.
