Best way to add subtitles to a FCP project?
I’ve got my movie translated into a text file;
I wish to add the translated bits into a FCP project.This is how my translated text file looks:
1: 00:00:04.23 00:00:11.04
This film is about adding
subtitles into a FCP project-2: 00:00:11.08 00:00:15.17
-since not everyone speak
my native language.etc.
Whats the smoothest way of doing this?
Less time consuming (not manually adding everything with the text tool) and still get best results, in other words nice looking text? -

For short films there is an inexpensive plug-in from Digital Heaven, but for any serious ST work you need to check out standalone app Belle Nuit.

You could try Bouke from other lists. He created one for FCP and Avid. It may be free,
it may be cheap. He gave it to me to test, but we decided to do the project in language instead.

FYI, STLedit has been taken off the market according to their website.

Too bad. It was pretty good for the price. I just had a client buy it 1 or 2 months ago so that we could do CC for a DVD.
