best way to achieve film look 1080 24p vs. 720 24PN
Hello to everyone
I dis a documentary with the SDX900 using the 24p native mode and I liked the results. I also liked the filmlike camas of this camara. Now I am looking for a more modern camera to achieve something similar.
I been looking at the HPX 500 and a HVX200 as a second unit for some simpler shots .
I see they record in 24PN only in 720. So if I go for 108024p, is there a big difference in the proggesive look? not talking about resolution. I mean is the 24p going to look somewhat fake vs the look of 24PN?
is the filmlike mode of the hpx500 similar to the filmlike2 of the sdx900?
On the other hand, I am looking at the varicam 270, it shoots at 1080 24PN but is more expensive of course, and I guess those images would be more difficult to match with images coming from a HVX 200 as a second unit because the diffrence in quaity if I go AVC intra. Is this worthit over the hpx 500 at 1080 24p?
Thanks a lot and best regards
