    Hia.

I’ve been asked to make a short music video from a sporting event that was shot on the Red One. The footage is beautiful and the frame size is HUGE (4096×2304)shot @ 100fps for me 2 make use of some nice slow-mo’s. I’m very excited to work on this but it is my 1st time editing with RED footage.

Now I downloaded the REDCINE program and did some research. I’m not going into all the details but basically how I understand it the footage doesn’t store color space info or sharpness. That’s how the files stay so small.

    So my question is:

Can someone give me some tips on what settings would work best in the program? Should I use TIFF or JPEG and will the quicktime container work fine if I want to keep it @ 100fps?

The REDCINE program has allot of settings that I have no idea what it does and theres no manual that helps at all.

    I’m looking @ making the final output HD 1920×1080 @ 50fps.

    Looking forward to your reply’s

What version of Premiere are you using? Red is supported natively in CS4. Here’s the basic workflow if that’s what you were asking about, but you may already know all of that?

    Hia. Thanx for the reply.

I’m suing cs4 and got the plugin bt it never worked. So I went abit deeper and after updating premiere and after effects it all works wonderfully. (except that my system cant handle it so i hav to scale it to 2k @ quarter resolution playback) but it still works.

Thanx for the tip. Any advice you can give me as per settings when exporting and which container codecs I should use? I’m on PC bt my client is on mac so I’ll probably use quicktime bt what codec???

    thanx.
