best vimeo setting to use?

July 2, 2013 at 3:40 pmhello there creative cow, i was using adobe media encoder cs6 to compress my film because it seems to work a bit faster than compressor. so i used one of the vimeo options and it came out all right but when i uploaded it to vimeo it was a bit choppy. i cant remember the exact one i used. i think it was the hd 1080p one. i know there were a few like that but thats all i could remember. most of my film is in hd some on sd. its 8.92 gb and its dimensions are 1920×1080. if i use one if sd vimeo options will the quality go down that much? thanks in advance!

July 3, 2013 at 3:25 pmWe use the Vimeo HD 720p setting, as is with no settings changed, in AME with good results. Give it a try.

July 4, 2013 at 9:55 pmVimeo has a good guide on their site for what they recommend you upload:
https://vimeo.com/help/compressionRemember they are going to re-compress whatever file you upload so that it’s compatible across their content delivery system.
