There are many. What exactly is it you’d like to encode better?

    BTW, what is FRP?

It would be for .wmv, Quicktimes, .mp3, mpeg1, 2 and 4, iPod,…mostly the popular ones. Thanks.

    Brad,

Compressor handles most of these formats, except WMV. For that you can purchase a plugin, such as Flip4Mac, which enables WMV encoding from QT FCP, QT Pro, or Compressor.

If your demands are more demanding and require more control than the various encoders and export tools in FCS2, Sorenson Squeeeze and Episode are the two big ones most poeple think of, and they can pretty much do it all. They are not inexpensive however.

There are also some dedicated standalone encoders that specialize in the highest quality encodes for one more formats. For instance Bitvice for MPEG-2, and Flix Pro for Flash are top-rated encoders.

    Hope that helps…

Compressor handles pretty much everything you need, add Flip4Mac and you get the WMV files.

The best all around encoder outside of that is Episode.

The best MPEG-2 encoder for DVD’s is BitVice.

I just downloaded the demo of VisualHub.
At first sight, Is far from being (do not pretends so) a professional tool.
The main limitation I see is in the export options.
Not about format (MP4,MPG2, Play Station,QT DV, WMV, AVI, Flash) or the quality of the encoding, but with very little option o customize settings.
A great tool for consumers and also for people, like my self, that do not need to export outstanding WMV or Flash, can represent to save some money.
The Xgrid option for batch processing and multiprocessor computers looks quite advanced.
The guide quite comprehensive and clear for the user that is intended. No unnecessary technical.
The “Appendix” is the most unusual I’ve ever see in a video manual..(DAVID, don’t o there!!)
This is my humble review of the documents (haven’t tested yet) of this application. I know that nobdy have asked me for, but is raining outside and…
