I have been using the Canopus ACEDVio card for a while now. I just use it to connect to my tv for editing. I don’t use the computer screen. The matrox stuff is way too expensive. I need a less that $500 solution. For Vista 64 and CS3, is there an affordable update or method out there??

Since there are no responses, maybe I need to be clearer. When I edit, I look on a flat screen TV that is connected via composite video cable to see the true to life result real time. If there is an easier way, please tell me. Possiibly a simple model change of video card will do this without a Canopus ACEDVio type card???

    Thanks

External monitor preview with Premiere is Firewire out to either a DV camera with a pass-thru feature and then to your TV…OR to a analog/digital converter, like ADS Pyro A/V link…about $200…more for the Canopus ADVC 100.

Just Curious, is there a reason you are using 64bit software for 32 bit apps?

Yes, for the speed increase of using a 64bit SCSI controller and 64 bit SATA Controller…not to mention the OS that the 32bit app rides on. I know it is debatable, but if the underlying OS is more productive in less clock cycles….it’s handling of multiple threaded 32 bit apps will be more productive. (Faster)
