  Best video codec for an interactive movie/FMV game?

  I’m making an interactive movie/FMV game. Due to the nature of the project (user interactivity
  with video clips), the video clips should have fast playback capability so that the experience is
  smooth.

  What sort of video codecs should I be looking at to maximize playback speed in this situation?
