While I’m sure you can compare benchmarks on sites like Tomshardware there are things, intrinsically different between Quadro cards and gaming cards like the GTX besides speed and price.

I have checked it out and they say the GTX Titan is the way to go for Premiere etc (other than CAD etc) the GTX Titan has been out for a while could I go with the GTX770OC 4gb or GTX780OC 3gb BUT the GXT Titan is $ AUD 1325.00 the K4000 is AUD $ 1040.00 but the K4000 is not the processing power of the Titan, but has other stable features.

I am just starting out so sometimes all of these specs kill your brain, Any thoughts you have, plus I should add this is a PC (just to be clear).

I think my goal was to show you the first response to that post. The expense of a Quadro card doesn’t translate to speed so much as it does other features like professional outputs, a larger instruction set for CAD/3D, faster RAM access, and so on. Will you need those features, do you care about resale value? That’s what you need to weigh out.

Angelo, I appreciate your assistance, resale value no, because I generally do not sell any components as I use them past their “value” date, I have checked a few other options and found the Latest Gigabyte GTX-780 series has Kepler and also a great number of CUDA cores, and since the majority of what I will be using the system for is Video editing, it appears as though, from a number of other people’s feedback, that this is most suitable for my requirements, plus considerably cheaper than a QUADRO card.

I shall see how I go when I get the system running, once again thanks for your valuable links and feedback!
