  Best VHS/DVD COMBO recorder? PLEASE HELP

  I put a post “VHS, Hi-8 and MiniDV PRESERVATION” before but didn’t get any results. I’m trying to figure what is the best VHS/DVD recorder where I can play VHS tapes and record them straight to DVD. Then from there put them on a Lacie HD for long term preservation.

  How to capture my VHS tapes onto Final Cut Pro doing a “Capture Now” in 10 minute segments and record them to a Lacie HD. I’m trying to figure out what I should use to connect to my MACPRO because there are no Red/White and Yellow inputs.

  Any suggestions? Basically I’m looking to preserve quality at its highest so it’s not downgraded(compressed) in quality but preserved. This has been bugging me for a while and would really like to get this done.
